SACBE is in the heart of the Puuc region, between the archeological sites of Uxmal (14km) and Kabah (7km).We are on the highway 261 (Merida-Campeche "Via Ruinas") at the km159, in the south end of Santa Elena, a traditional and typical mayan village.

At Sacbe, the environment and ecology is number one priority. The surrounding trees provide cool shade to the individual bungalows.

Annette & Edgar, your hosts, a french and mexican couple, created the park in 1991. We left intact as much of the native plants as possible. We introduced more native trees and tropical plants.

Take a relaxing walk in our park among native trees with many bromelias, tillandsias and orchids and visit our tropical orchard with 40 different kinds of fruits: oranges, tangerines, papayas, mangos, zapotes etc...

We also have an efficent water system with solar power water heaters which utilize rain water, backed up with electric heaters for hot water on demand the 24 hours.
